QUARTZ - support thread

Absolutely love the skin! Using it on my HTPC! I was wondering if Tvtunes is supported with this skin. Currently have it installed from using it on a previous skin. Not able to get it working on Quartz.

Hi Pecinko!

I love Quartz but I have a big problem. I'm using the current version available in your repo.
Usually if you want to play a movie or an episode of a TV series (I'm in info2 view - but my problem occurs in every view) you select the file and press enter, then the small popup should appear with "play file", "show/movie information" and a third one I don't remember right now. This popup appears once after each xbmc reboot. When I watched a movie or an episode and want to watch another the popup doesn't come up and I can't press something else on the remote for a while. After maybe 15 secs I can go back to the previous menu by pressing "menu". Then when I reboot xbmc it works again. This issue does NOT occur with other skins.

If you want I could make a video of the problem.

I'm on an ATV2 with iOS 4.4.4.

Debug.log would be probably more useful than video. Can you enable debugging in settings, play a file or two wait that 15 sec lag to pass and post a log?

well I just tried... here's the thing:
If debugging is enabled it works just fine. once debugging is turned off, the problem occurs again.

i think I found the problem - at least it works for now..
I disabled dirtyregion setting in the advancedsettings.xml.

is it possible that dirtyregion setting sets to default if debugging is enabled? this would explain why it worked when debugging was active?!

I'm not sure but it is possible that advanced settings gets skipped in that case. It's worth checking.

Very nice troubleshooting, I must admit I felt like being in front of dead alley after your previous post.
