Hi all,

How do people running an ION find music playback? Movies work great but I seem to be getting a delay of upto 10 seconds when changing audio track. Before I go to the length of getting a debug log I wondered if this was to be expected?

Message which always seems to appear before the delay happens is the following

16:27:32 T:1032 M:960614400 DEBUG: DllLibApeTag: Using libapetag library
16:27:42 T:1032 M:963465216 INFO: PAPlayer: Playing musicdb://3/227/2902.mp3

As you can see this took 10 seconds. Is this to be expected? Music files are all mp3.

if it is the libapetag taking all the time searching for tags that don't exist is it possible to disable this all together? all of my MP3 tags are ID3.

I sometimes get a delay when changing track using my ION, up to 10s as you say. Its not everytime though. I had assumed it was an isue with mySQL database and a slow server. I'll keep an eye on it and when it happens again I'll try and remember to post here.
