[LINUX] AMD Zacate (Fusion) platform & HDMI audio out
#1
Hey guys,

just a quick one - I'm keen to move from my current XS35-GT setup to a new Zacate system using the patched VAAPI packages/etc. which has been covered pretty well around here (must be Linux, no way do I want to run Windows).

I'm curious though, since I use this feature now (important to me) - audio over the Zacate's HDMI - is it yet possible with Ubuntu/Linux and the Zacate chipset? Anyone able to prove/deny in either case?

Cheers

If it's anything like getting the HDMI audio to work with my GT240 then you need to use custom output plughw:0,x and experiement to see what value of x is right for your hardware.

For mine, 7 works.

Note, if u want to get digital passthrough working, u must remove pulse audio on your system:
