I have a Synology DS211j and an AppleTV2 with XBMC.
When I try to browse a folder to add my DVDs to XBMC I am able to see the folders if I navigate to uPnP and all of the files are loaded. Problem is that it takes a while for the movie to actually start playing. Is that normal? I expected it to start right away or within 5 seconds.
I'm trying to browse my folders on the NAS using the SMB protocol but I get "error 2 no share" or something similar even though I enabled "Windows File Service".
Will SMB speed up my video load times? How can I get XBMC to see my files using Samba?
Please help.
