External USB Blueray drive doesn't bring up the "play disc" option in XBMC's menu
#1
Let me start by saying I'm new to this HTPC adventure thing :-)

Not sure in which order to do this, so let me explain my problem with a link of actions:

0. my HTPC (details below) is up and running with XBMC loaded
1. I plug in my external USB Blueray drive
2. I open the tray and insert just a standard DVD
3. I wait a little while for the system to see the drive
4. I never see the "Play Disc" option appear
5. The DVD doesn't get played automatically (eventhough the option is marked to try and do so in the DVD settings page)
6. I close XBMC, and on the desktop I see that the DVD has been mounted and I can browse to it just fine.
7. I appear to have less hair as I'm sitting here pulling it out! ;-)

So my question is: is there a setting somewhere I've missed, or is this just not possible as a setup for XBMC at all?

I'm trying to not use the DVD drive that is built in to the machine as I have hidden it in the back of my electronic's cupboard to keep the wife happy!

Any info would be awesome!

Cheers,
Tom
