Hi!

I am a new user, so please be gentle if this has been already discussed -

i have been searching through pages and pages of text trying to find a way to select SQUARE corners for cover art views in showcase etc, so that I can use movie poster images for the artwork without losing a lot of the names etc in the corners of the images.

I read a post where this had been done in an earlier version of AEON by modding the 4 frame images, but from what I can tell - I need to be able to extract the contents of the textures.xbt file....which as yet can't be done? (only .xbr is possible?)

Am I missing a menu option somewhere in the skin that allows the user to select square/round corners?

Please help.....for me, other than this simple aesthetic problem - XBMC is EVERYTHING i have been searching the earth for in a movie/tv/music etc etc GUI.

CHEERS!!

Knight.

It's coded into the skin you don't need to extract textures it would take some looking at if I get time I will take a look to get started I would suggest opening the view .XML in text editor of choice and find where the movie covers are in the code and delete the masked part in the code will have a look for you tomorrow

is this what you want or something else? i have only edited showcase view and paused and info screen for now no other views because i don't have much time to code atm but here you go if its not what you wanted let me know.

below pictures is the download for edited files just unzip folder to desktop and add/override files in appropriate folders.
This mod is for the latest Aeon mq2 release i wont get too fancy on this mod because of Aeon mq3 just around the corner

zombierobot, that is absolutely fantastic and so kind of you to do it. My only problem is, I use wall view for movies. I understand if you don't have the time, but if you could put it on your todo list at any point I'd be grateful

thanks again and good skills....

not to seem to cheeky but while you are looking at it, is it possible to close the gap between covers to zero space?

the square posters in showcase really do look great btw....Knight2001dts are you using these now?
