[RELEASE] xbmclyrics script - automatically grabs lyrics online

I have just uploaded a new 0.6 version.

it checks if here are lyrics to be saved before saving. please use that one.

Is this compatible with the Xbox? If yes, it would mean xbmclyrics would be quite functional. Ie, download lyrics using the batch download script and display using xbmclyrics. The problem at the moment is that xbmclyrics on the xbox is screwing up downloading the lyrics.

unfortunately I dont have XBOX to test it with

Hey Amet, I tried your SVN 1.7.6 release with no success. I had to go back to the 1.7.4 release and it all works fine. Not sure what is different.

I'm on Windows 7 32-bit. XBMC SVN 24041-DX. I have it configured to get the lyrics from Lyricwiki.org.

What is not working? Is it crashing?

Good work... really... and I just hope that every developer will not forget the xbox. It 's a great media player.... 3 secs from the switch on and it's ready to play music/video/photo/etc... great.

I have just uploaded version 1.7.7 to SVN, it should address all the issues now . I am sorry that I keep on updating it every day , hopefully it is all OK now.

I do have a question regarding searches. Many searches come up with 'no lyrics'. Some are for established artists that have lyrics posted on LyricWiki.org. Any idea why the following searches come back empty? Here are a few examples (the first three are from 'hits' albums):

ZZ Top - La Grange, Cheap Sunglasses
Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over
Sarah MacLachlan - Adia, Sweet Surrender
Van Halen - (any song with an apostrophe in it....e.g. Jamie's Cryin', I'll Wait, etc...)
Artists with non-english letters in names: Queensrÿche, Marco Antonio Solís, Mötley Crüe, etc...

ZZ Top - La Grange, Cheap Sunglasses correct song name according to LyricWiki is Cheap Sunglasses, http://lyrics.wikia.com/ZZ_Top:Cheap_Sunglasses

as for the others, it has to do with apostrophe, if you can try this for the songs that have apostrophe and non english letters and let me know if it works, I can then implement it in XBMC Lyrics.
