I build I came up with for XBMC. This build might be possible to run Mac OS X also. Hopefully all the components are compatible.

[CPU] E5700 Wolfdale 3.0GHz Dual-Core $59.99
[MOBO] Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L $54.99
[GPU] ASUS GeForce 210 Fanless $21.89 after MIR
[RAM] Kingston PC2-6400 2GB DDR2-800 $27.99
[CASE+PSU] Inwin BK623 mATX 300W PSU $56.65

Total = $221.51

you will need to add an HDD or SSD, if you want cheap then I'm sure you can get cheaper cases.

You don't need the E5700, a Celeron E3400 will do too.
