i update always from passion per direct download and have no problems with errors. but im using latest git xbmc from today.

Hi there.

the mentioned problem via repo happended to me too.

first i did not know what was wrong because i only got a black screen and after reboot there was confluence.

I have manually extracted the skin... folder from /addon/packages, which worked. So there seems to be a problem with the update process, or am i wrong?

Yeah, sorry to say happened to me too. Updated, black screen, confluence. If i try to update again or reinstall, error.
I did it manually also. So i'm happy again, for a moment i thought i lost my fav skin!! Smile

i had the same problem some versions ago, since then i update manually.

always worked before. But not sure where the error is.
package obviously got downloaded correct, but for some reason die not get extracted.

same here, from the Passion repo.
Add to that Fusion Migma will download/install but can't switch to it. Falls back to Confluence

I'm going to take a look, i have to look at the revisions, as it seems google code hasn't updated correctly. Short: i have same revisions 458 for both skins and that could have caused the bug. I'll make some changes and see what's happening.

Ok, just tried to install both skins via passion:
1. Fusion migma, download ok. Switch to this skin --> yes then crashed xbmc restarted and fusion was there, but noticed strange textures. Closed xbmc and restarted still the same.
2. Cirrus ext., download ok, but error message install failed.
Copy paste from package folder, started xbmc, select cirrus: works

Checked both revisions again and it's correct: fusion rev 457 and cirrus rev 458.

Guys sorry, but i don't understand what's happening.

Maybe it's time to start having my own repo Smile
