How does the TV show exist on TVDB?

lol... the show was The Banana Splits and friends show. And TVDB has them listed just as SB named them but took them from The Banana Splits Adventure hour. I have them as "The Banana Splits And Friends Show S01E01 "show name" and TVDB has them EXACTLY as I have them... but for some reason SB grabbed all the info from The Banana Splits Adventure hour and renamed them. Do you know of a way for me to have SB do it again and it will let me choose the correct show? the way XBMC does? I like how XBMC does that and I have to use that a lot with movies.

I used Tv Rename to rename them back to the correct names. Then I deleted them from SB but when I would re-add them it still messed up... I realized I needed to manually remove the tv show tag that SB put in the folder. All set now. Now if I could just figure out what I need to get TvTorrents.com to work, I would be stoked! EZTV does not have all the shows I like. I am starting to love this program though and I may just have to shell out $15 a month to use it with NBZ's. I have Comcast and they don't have a newsgroup server! Sad

In terms of backlog searching it appears sickbeard doesn't have much functionality for torrents at the moment anyway. Im sure this will change in the future.

So unless you are going to fork out for a usenet server (which I do recommend), you are probably best off using utorrent with the rss like you mentioned to grab shows. Have utorrent move them to a completed folder which sickbeard monitors and renames/sorts/gets thumbs/gets info/updates xbmc.

I really do like how SB tells me of shows upcoming and of every episode in the past. Great way to keep up to date. If i could figure out the settings for TvTorrents I would be happy. I don't really mind paying for a usenet server, I just wish any money I spent would go to the show makers and such? Just not the $150 cable bill I pay now for the three shows I watch that I end up just downloading anyway! lol

FYI

I've had a NerdTastic day! I set up port forwarding on my router so now I can access SB and CouchPotato from anywhere (specifically my cell phone) by going to the ip/port. In addition to that I found a free VNC program for Android that works well in case I need to get in and move files. Sweet!

OT, I also downloaded a PSX emulator for Android that just tops off the nerdgasm. I can play FFVII, kick off torrents and control my xbmc box from anywhere!Laugh

I cant sign up to TvTorrents without an "Invitation Code". If you've got one sent it to me in a pm and I'll show you.

Well The 1st Season only has 19 episodes.
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=...6751&lid=7

The Second Season: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=...6751&lid=7 has 13. So that's why they're not getting renamed.

And it's nowhere NEAR $15/month unless you like getting ripped off.
AstraWeb is $11/monh for Unlimited.

If you're only going to be using it for TV shows. They also have 180GB for $25. Normally lasts me 4-5 months and that's with a few Movies tossed in. You could easily go an entire season for JUST TV shows depending on how much you watch.

People have already posted how to get it working with TVTorrents. You need to find your RSS URL. In it there are a whole lot of parameters. Those parameters need to go into SickBeard.
Code:
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `xbmc_%`.* TO 'xbmc'@'%';
IF you have a mysql problem, find one of the 4 dozen threads already open.

Ya I think I figured it out. I know a little about torrents but I have ZERO idea about rss so I was unfamiliar. I was able right away to find my TvTorrents rss "page" but I didn't know what to do with it. Turns out that the URL has the "digest" and "hash" numbers embedded inside of it. It is just a matter of going through the address and grabbing only those two sets of numbers. Wish I had found something on Google telling me that in the first place. lol

Ya, I have seen them for $10 a month but I think I may try the "block" account? I would only be using it for TV shows and only new shows and in SD so that should last me a long time. If I wanted a whole season, it is easy enough for me to do that manually for free with torrents. SB just saves me the trouble of going on every day for one episode. "blocknews" has blocks pretty cheap and I can even buy a real small block just to try it out and see if I like it.

And I have 99% of the naming stuff figured out. SB does a pretty good job once you know how toy use it. lol. It is not in any way working for the "Thundercats", I have all 130 episodes and they are all named the same way and TVDB has them all named the exact same way I have them... but SB only thinks I have 25 of them and they are random. I can find no logic for this but I am sure it is something. But it doesn't matter anyway as they are already named the right way and I have every episode so I don't need SB for them anyway. XBMC can see them all.

Alright I went ahead and did it. Any suggestions on good NBZ sites?

Blocknews are very good I have an account with them as a backup to my other account

The best free nzb site is nzb.org but I'm afraid its not taking new signups currently but its worth keeping an eye on, nzb.su is very similar and was until recently totally free but still might be ok for you and can be used with sickbead and SABnzb, nzbmatrix and newzbin can also be used with Sickbeard and SABnzb but aren't totally free

First hit, for any website, for any problem. Don't tell the people that are trying to help you, show them.

"Hey I got a problem with my car. A part up front doesn't look right". -> Take a picture of the bad part.

I don't know how you have them named. No one else does. "Thundercats S03 E 01" would fail while "Thurdercats S03E01" wouldn't.

Second, Sickbeard does have a log, set it to 'debug' copy and paste to to paste bin. Right now everyone is stabbing at the dark at WTF is wrong because you really don't give the whole story. For example not renaming the 2 season show was a stab in the dark and would have easily been solved with

Well like I said, I am not really worried about the Thundercats thing and I think I mentioned that. I didn't want to put people out for something I was not concerned with, but like I said... they are ALL named the exact same way. For example Episode 15 is labeled Thundercates-15 The Time Capsule (optimus) and Episode 16 is labeled Thundercats-16- The Fire Balls Of castle Plun-Darr (optimus) and for some reason SB thinks I have ep15 but not ep16. This goes back and fourth and like I said, I am sure there is a reason... i just can't see it. There are 130 episodes and there are chucks that SB thinks I have but they are from the same season... whatever, I am not worried but I do thank you for the help.

lol. thank you, now I have a bunch to start with anyway. I am a torrent guy and I am a member at some REALLY good private sites (but it took me years to get them all) so here I am back at zero with NBZ sites, lol. It's ok though because like I said, I am happy enough getting full seasons at torrent sites (seems easier for that anyway) and getting the newest TV shows as they come out with the NBZ's (seems easiest for that). I don't download a ton of new stuff (as you can tell I collect OLD shows lol) and so far I have gotten everything I searched for at NZB.SU? So i will plug the others in you mentioned and I should be good to go. Thank you.
