i've just noticed that you plan to implement an alternate homescreen. Do you have any information about this ? Design ideas ?

They're buried at several places in the main thread. And although a big part of one concept was coded (I lost the code) they still remain concepts. It may be like those, but it may won't be
There's some big changes ahead with regards to how XBMC handles menus on the homescreen so I doubt I'll be working on an alternate homescreen until more is known about that, especially when it can be expected to appear. If that is very far in the future I might start working on it.
