XBMC Crash at random

Hi All,

When starting a video sometimes XBMC will crash, this happens quite oftern.

H/W

-Shuttle XS35GT
-Ubuntu Natty 11.04
-Latest version of XBMC via Team XBMC ppa


Any ideas?

I have the exact same problem.

I think this is a similar post. Are you on 64bit? Did you try 32 bit? It stopped crashing randomly for me, but now I have a problem where it pauses randomly for 5 seconds.. Weird. Now I need to know why it's doing that.

kinda hard to look at the log with pastebin.ca being down. Maybe try pastebin.com

If you have activated option called "refresh display rate..." (under video-->playback) try disabling it.

I can confirm that this is happening to me. It seems to be any video that can be resumed (i.e. it has been partially watched) is most likely to cause the crash but I'm not 100% sure on that. EDIT: Yeah , it seems that this is not the case. Or at least, non-resumable videos also cause the same crash anyway.

The stack trace contains;

Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
