XBMC Sudden Audio Problem.

First off I HAVE SEARCHED.. Most related posts are OLD and outdated.

Windows Version: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: AMD Turion II Dual-Core Mobile M500 2.20 GHz [64 BIT]
RAM: 6 GB
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series
Video Card Driver: ATI Technologies Version 8.841.0.0 (4/5/2011)
Sound Card 1: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
Sound Card Driver: IDT Version 6.10.6276.0 (3/23/2010)
Sound Card 2: ATI HDMI Audio (I have it listed in the Device Manager, so I included it)
Sound Card Driver 2: Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Version 6.0.1.6251 (11/23/2010)
A/V Reciever: Onkyo TX-SR608
XBMC Version: 10.1 Git:e9e9099 (Compliled: Mar 8 2011)

This has never been an issue before with this setup. I have recently done a full restore on my laptop (Factory Default) and now I get Failure to initiliaze audio. Like I stated this has never been an issue before (Screenshot of settings provided Below.) My only issue is when I have it set in this manner. XBMC will however send audio in a PCM 2.0 Channel format as JUST Stereo, or it will also work if I set it to Analog although I recieve no center channel. I understand that I am still recieving audio, however I am unable to use my SURROUND SOUND all of a sudden. I have tried multiple different settings and am still only able to use 2.0 PCM stereo sound. Any help is GREATLY Appreciated! (AUDIO Is through HDMI SAME as before)

I was able to figure it out through some IRC Help!

The problem was with one or both of the Audio Drivers, I am "ASSUMING" it was:
Quote:Sound Card 2: ATI HDMI Audio (I have it listed in the Device Manager, so I included it)
Sound Card Driver 2: Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Version 6.0.1.6251 (11/23/2010)
I Rolled back the driver to the previous version:
(NOW LABELED DIFFERENTLY!)
Sound Card 2: ATI High Definition Audio Device
Sound Card Driver 2: ATI Technologies Inc. Version 5.0.7.000.4 (6/5/2009)

Hope this will help someone else in the future! and encourage people to not be lazy and even though you made a post it doesn't hurt to keep looking! Smile
