Although is early, drivers, samples and info are still rolling out slowly I feel is time to discus/inform about Llano, as numbers are starting to show more consistently and they promise some nice things.
To start with, a simple presentation that sums the CPU line up clearly and in an easy way.
Here more detail about MOBILE CPU line up and common features from AMD itself. In less than a month we should see some info/offerings on the desktop side.
Some numbers...
Little HD Video Quality Benchmark: HQV 2.0 A8-3500M vs Intel HD Graphics 3000
Some playback battery life/power consumption.
Keep in mind this numbers are not from 1:1 comparisons, merely the software is the same, and other factors as, drivers, displays, HDs/SSD, Optics, memories, OEM more aggressive power futures and other factors have great impact in this results, beign performance/power consumption or other. They are just hints and guides, to have better understanding you have to take a look at each configuration and take it into account.
Reviews:
Tom's Hardware A8-3500M
Anandtech A8-3500M
Anandtech Llano A8-3850 (PREVIEW)
I would like to add that Anands review, even more the preview, it's kinda crappy and have a lot of faults (example, 7 months old drivers in a new CPU/GPU platform) in detriment to the Llano setup, just a warning, most surely they will make another one more "balanced" (aka less biased). Anyway, they are more an introduction/first glimpse, that anything else.
