Network intermittent!
#1
Installed OpenELEC onto my clean Zbox ID41.

But I cannot get a stable ethernet connection.
I started to download a big skin.
Then went back to home and SysInfo and watched the network page.

It was going well for about 5mins then under Internet: Not connected, Check network settings popped up

Then after a few it just goes Internet: Busy, MAC Address: Busy

Any ideas?
I know the connection is solid and working fine.
Im using my laptop and a desktop on the same lines.

Help please?
Also I have not added anything extra I havnt even added videos yet.
But im guessing this will affect my playback in the nic wont stay alive!

If i restart its fine again, for a certain amount of time then does the same thing.

Now I cannot tell if this will affect video as i have not added any sources or anything yet.

And Finally have a Linux version to work with My Zotac Mag ND-01.

Never could get navigation sounds to work (Main Reason I didn't use Linux Branch) this one worked like a charm (and the site tells you how to get the sound to work).

I have the same issue

I’m experiencing some issues with my xbmc in Window, I have Vista Home Premium, I install the latest version of xbmc 10.1 dharma, I installed all the videos add-ons and when I try to load them it says: Script Failed!.

That’s one thing, another is that I check on the system info, network, my internet and mac adresse says busy!, and the weather says no internet connection, its wear because I can download the videos add-ons from xbmc.
Is there any fix? Or something please help!

@deadman13: I doubt the problems you report are related to those discussed in this thread.

The weather problem is because the weather provider v10.1 uses withdrew it's service. A quick search of the forum will find several million posts about the weather not working.

If you want us to look at the "script failed" problem you need to post a debug log. Enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, and restart XBMC then wait a minute or two for all the startup tasks to finish. Do whatever is required to generate the script error, then immediately close XBMC.

Open the debug log by pressing Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:

"%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log"

(including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.

Many network interfaces have problems running gigabit. Your dropping symptom could be related. I have a Netgear GS605 switch that is about to be crushed, and replaced with something that actually works at gigabit speeds.
In Windows it is simple to force the interface to 100mb, in Linux it is a pita but can be done.

Hi SavelIM,

Can you enlighten me share with us (me) how you solved this problem?
Has this anything to do with setting the DNS manually in XMBCbuntu and than loginto XBMC live again?
Thanks!
