port forward problem
#1
My port forward in the past was working without a problem however a couple of days I was not able to use some of my programs (couch potato, xbmc, sickbeard) from out of my network (on ubuntu 10.04 LTS). I have checked my network connections and my ip address is still set the same under IPv4 settings tab.

I went to my router settings and checked if something was deleted from the port forward settings however everything is ok.

I then went to canyouseeme.org and checked the ports and all seem to be OPEN without any problems.

However when I go http://www.myip:port it gives me an error below

Quote:The connection has timed out
The server at 98.198.54.185 is taking too long to respond.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web

I can access everything ok from my local ip address.

any suggestions?

Hmm. That is tricky. You should probably give us all that up address so we can figure that out. Jk!

Any new changes to installed programs or Linux updates that would have messed up firewall settings?
