[LIVE] GT430 Sound=Choppy Video
#1
Hi, Looking for some help I have searched around and used a couple posts to help get my sound working for my GT430 card but now the problem I am having is if I enable the sound but setting audio to custom and using plughw:0,9 the audio works but video is like a slide show screen refreshs about once a second and doing the OSD shows no dropped frames though. If I go back into audio settings take off custom and thus lose my sound and then play a video it plays back without issue. I can't seem to figure out what is going on? Any Ideas? If any logs or anything would help please let me know. I am not sure what info would be useful in troubleshooting this.

BTW this is XBMC Live 10.1 using nividia 270 drivers and kernel 2.6.35-25 and ALSA 1.0.24.2

SOLVED----Issue was limitation of the bios on the older PC I was running it on. Doesnt allow two IRQ requests from one PCIE slot. Tried updating to latest BIOS which was from 09 still didnt work. Swapped out the card into a new PC installed live and viola worked without issue.

Nobody has any idea? Come on guys I could really use some help. It plays back at 4fps. I have looked and looked and found others with same issue but never any solution. Couple did a full ubuntu 10.10 install and that fixed it so I tried xbmcfreak live maverick but still same issue. I can't seem to figure out the cause.Sad

Well, by looking at your debug log I think your flux capacitor on the GT430.
Code:
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `xbmc_%`.* TO 'xbmc'@'%';
IF you have a mysql problem, find one of the 4 dozen threads already open.
