Hama MCE press and hold?
#1
I've followed this guide:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...light=hama

Everything works except that i have to release the button to perform any action.
I can't press and hold a button for scrolling or volume control.
Sad

Any suggestions? Its really weird.. i can hold a button for an hour and nothing happens until i releases it.

btw: before i've added the MCE to Lirc the press and hold function was there! I think its a problem there.

Greetings and Thanks for your help Smile

I'm not sure how far down that thread you read but the real solution is on page 4

Quote:wow the post by xoanon about ticket http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/8827 makes the HAMA MCE REMOTE / ortek vrc 1100 remote work flawlessly..

why isnt this more popular? i have been struggling with this remote for months, and this simple thing makes it work. all the buttons, it even diferentiates the info button from the right click...

Works great for me. The only problem is that the power button suspends my Acer Revo 36100 but will only wake it for few seconds before it goes pack to sleep. Interestingly any pushing any other button resumes it ok.

Thanks!

My Shuttle XPC SG31G2B wakes up normally. The hama mce is awesome.
Press and hold works. But its a little too fast. Is there a tweak to reduce the speed?

Thanks for the suggestion X3lectric - tried various values for <remotedelay> and <remoterepeat> in advancedsettings but didn't seem to make any difference.

yes that was what I had in mind, perhpas if it doesnt work as designed then its a bug... just dont let anyone tell you its a feature.

Next stop perhaps trac and freenode IRC xbmc-linux.
