No lyrics with xbmc lyrics

Hi!
I am using Dharma on Debian Squeeze. The script xbmc.lyrics does not work
for me. First I had the problem, that the scrapers were not found. The log
told me, that they are searched in
~/.xbmc/addons/script.xbmc.lyrics/$CWD//resources/scrapers/
Of course they were not find there.
So I removed the $CWD/ from settings.xml. The scrapers are now found, and I
can select a primary one in the settings again. But when activating the lyrics
view while playing, I am shown something like 1/3. But whatever I select, I
cannot see any lyrics. I tried reinstalling the addon several times, no luck.
Why was the modification of settings.xms necessary for me, and why can't I
see any lyrics?
