Hi, on Openelec, with the hls add-on, you'll need to specify a temp directory in the add-on settings. I guess something in /storage? Or if you disable hls in the add-on settings you should be able to play the flash stream.
specifying a temp directory didn't work but disabling hls did. What do I lose by disabling hls?

Edit: Thank you Smile

V
Divingmule- I updated to 0.0.6 the other day and my HLS playback failed, same as vijayk416. I could see the mlb* temp folder created in my specified directory, but the file was not being created.

Tonight I had a chance to troubleshoot.... and found that I needed to 'chmod +x' the mlbhls file.... now playback works fine.

Any way you can add a check to see if the binary is executable before running?

vijayk416 - the file you need to do this with is located in /storage/.xbmc/addons/plugin.video.mlbmc.hls/resources/mlbhls/openelec-mlbhls/x86_64/

By disabling the HLS you lose the higher bitrate feeds, so the quality of live games will not be as good as it is with HLS...

Thanks sdsnyr94, should of thought of that. I'll investigate and see if this can be done in the script.

@vijayk416, HLS only effects the MLB.tv games and Full Count.
The weirdest thing happened to me today... I was playing an HLS feed... and it did not drop. Looking at the file now, and it is 6.2 Gb in size..... and nothing has changed that I know of on my system.
OK, so I just want to report that yesterday's Mets-Phillies game played flawlessly again... anyone else seeing the same results?

Last Saturday night (post 0.0.6 update), I had a game where I could not get the HLS feed to play for more than about 2-3 minutes without closing.... non-HLS worked fine. The last 2 games I have watch using MLBMC-HLS have been perfect (Mets were on ESPN Sunday and off Monday, so I did not use MLBMC).

Do you think that MLB had trouble Saturday night, and in the process of repairing it, fixed the issue of streams bombing out after ~2.5 Gb? Or did something change in 0.0.6 that would have corrected this?

**EDIT** OK, 3 games in a row... so something definitely changed for the better.
Hi,

Just wanted to say I really love this Add-On. I use it on one computer and it works fine, but it always fails on another. Could someone please give me any clues at to why this is not working.

Thanks

It looks like you using an Alpha build of XBMC, but a really old version of MLBMC..... try updating to the latest version.

Thanks! that fixed it. I tried reinstalling it a couple of times prior and it kept giving me the old version.... odd
I don't think there's a way to do this today so if there is let me know. I'd like to have the capability to add a favorite that takes me directly to the nightly home feed of a team's game. Currently I have to click on MLBMC, click on mlb.tv, click on today's games, click on the game I want, then click on the local TV feed. Any way to skip all those steps and always have the home feed for a particular team just start?
