Something strange happened after installing XBMC in Windows 7 32bit.
All content is outputing only stereo ... I'll describe an example:
Ex: mkv with DTS5.1
XBMC configured or audio decoding
- A/V receiver only receives two channels (F/R) as if signal is stereo
XBMC Configured for paththrough
- A/V receiver detects DTS signal
- A/V receiver says it's receiving all 5 channels
- sound is comming only from front speakers
System details:
- Only windows and XBMC are installed (no other meaninfull drivers or codecs)
- The system is connected to A/V receiver through S/PDIF.
- Windows sound check, pings all speakers
note: in any case, it does sound as no frequencies (or sound data) is missing, so i suspect it's down mixing the channels.
Any hints on what to configure to get the multichannel working?
thanks
