XBMC Constellation For iPad/iPhone by FSS.cc (unofficial remote)
subvertbeats Wrote:Just keeps toggling between TCP tunnel established and failed to connect on port 9090.

Are you closing(minimising) the app when it cycles?

Ie app open rpc connected... Go back to home screen or another app... Go back to constellation and getting the failed to connect message?

Or are you getting the cycling with the app open constantly?

Just a really dumb thing to ask but better to be sure:

When you say: no apps open on the iPad.. You're a hundred percent sure of that, right? If I got a dime every time someone thought they 'closed' an iOS app just by clicking the home button I'd own Apple by now Wink

Double-tap the home button for the taskbar and make sure no apps are running there. Then fire up Constellation alone and test.

If it works then, just fire up your usual apps till JSON drops out. That's how I found the culprit on my iPad.

Will u be updating the textures etc for the new ipad?

The text is a bit small and blurry on the current version, and it would look awesome on the new screen

Does eden support the needed API functionality to allow re-ordering audio playlists? And of so is this something which may be implemented?

with the app open constantly - you can see it cycling every second or so.

Indeed, everything (really) closed via taskbar, still happens.

@burb - In case the info is useful iOS is at latest version, and XMBC is Eden RC2 running on Win 7 x64 fully up to date.

What antivirus do you use?

Just found this... Run this prog on ur xbmc machine, it will tell you if you are using port 9090 for anything else, I still think this is ur problem, this should tell us.

If you're talking about a red icon in the top left of Constellation, that's your connection, not mute... if you're talking about an icon on XBMC's screen, it's either some kind of weird setting or most likely a bug that shows on your system for some reason. They haven't released RC3 (or newer) for your version yet correct? Sadly, if it's a bug, you'll have to wait for them to release another version or fix. Either way, can you give more details about what's going on? What type of iDevice, iOS version, etc. and a screenshot if possible.

Constellation is working fine (no errors), its just when I play my first film from booting the volume is muted and I have to turn it up within the app also the re mute icon is on xbmc rc1+2 (top right) when I adjust the volume the icon remains through out the film even though the sound is working.

xbmcubuntu rc1
ios 5.1 (ipad 2 & iphone 4s)

I believe problem is more with xbmc

ps: Would love it if in landscape mode a full remote (like ipad) came up on iphone version...just a thought

Id already run some netstats to verify nothing else was using the port - indeed, it only shows 9090 in use when xbmc is running.

I use Avira for my AV. Don't have time to check it now as I need to be up early but will try disabling AV tomorrow and see if it makes a difference

I never did fix my issue with missing movies... Using XBMC C******** for now until it's fixed. Seems the movies are only missing when arranged by label and work fine when arranged by recently. Any more ideas?

Is iPad portrait mode still planned for the next release?
Proud to have software induced insomnia.
