If you have a large library you usually split it up using smartplaylists

if you have a large library you dont use library mode -.-', btw confluence and transparency sux bad btw sorry to break it down to ya bro ,protip:thats for what you use file mode for -.-', i have over 4000 movies and over 300 anime those are just the ones i havent yet been able to watch lately ,just to give you abit of insight ,i sort them per source and fav that source and add it as custom menu item i disable movies library, no custom playlist or whatever needed ....


not to mention my comics collection and games collection ...all nicely sorted that of course uses adv thats a different topic xD

You're funny ... You may just as well use WMC. Why using XBMC ?

for real...wmc ...once again youre joking right? wmc is utter crap ..xbmc all the way , library isnt good for movies thou exspecially if you have lots of asian movies that dont get picked up by the moviesdb scraper , half of youre collection wont show up in library -.-', hence files mode xD


exspecially if you have tons of movies ,and you want the watched movie completely removed once youre finished watching it , library mode will leave the movie folder with the jpegs , subs etc on youre drive ...go ahead bro , give it a whirl if you dont believe me , delete a movie from within library and delete a movie from within file mode , then check youre hdd for the folder , that should make you see the usefullness of files mode

not to mention in files mode you get to choose the according file you want to watch not like in library where the thumb is attached to some file , maybe even a sample movie file or whatnot, very problematic with blueray folders or video_ts , once again you do not seem to have ever used files mode -.-'

not to mention you can fav each source say you have a source animes and another the movies then set theyre according scrappers and category and then you fav both rename each accordingly as custom menu item and you have yourself a nicely sorted collection ...not possible with library mode.....

On top of the fact that your writing is painful to read, your logic is complete nonsense. Files Mode? What a joke! Every skin has pluses and minuses, I pointed out a minus of Aeon MQ3. Confluence and Transparency do some things very well. Clearly your 'large library' is a mess if you prefer Files Mode.

I love Aeon MQ3 and it seems nothing else comes close but I do admit that it is a little slow between the time I select Movies and the next screen coming up with all my movies (say 3 seconds). I have about 400 movies which isn't even that much.

I looked at a few other skins but they all seem mickey mouse compared to MQ.

or simply use search mode wich actually brings you to the exact movie ,btw you use a keyboard for navigation? -.-'..... ,i use a xbox 360 wifi controller with custom xpadder profile


p.s: yes not much to compete against mq3 atm ....sadly

there is this one skin thou called xperience1080, but i hate the movies wall view of it ,its so small and cropped,and its customization is very restrained exspecially the views possible for programs etc, if somebody would combine aeon mq3´s customization with xperience1080 wed have ourselves a new top dog
