1080p MKV with Blu-Ray sup crashes XBMC
#1
Hi there,
I'm having problems playing back 1080p MKV movies with embedded Blu-Ray subtitles (sup). Having subtitles enabled, XBMC/ATV2 crashes back to frontrow just about when the 1st subtitle should appear. It plays fine when subtitles are disabled. I've tried some other similar movies, and they all seem to crash when subtitles are enabled, although with some movies the crash happens after one or two subtitles have appeared.

Movies are created this way:
1) ripped from Blu-Ray using MakeMKV,
2) then re-encoded/compressed using Handbrake (AVC/h.264/1080p),
3) then re-muxed together with (soft) original BR-subtitles (from step 1) using mkvmerge
This might not be the most common way of embedding subtitles, but I'm doing it to avoid any OCR, and it works without problems in VLC.

Platform: AppleTV2 4.2.2 (2203) (iOS 4.3)
Build: XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:20110618-eedceeb (Compiled : Jun 18 2011)
Install: apt-get update, apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 (10.0-9), then "downgraded" to latest nightly (June 18th) with dpkg -i latest_atv2.deb
xbmc.log: http://pastebin.no/32n5
syslog: http://pastebin.no/32n6
crashreport: http://pastebin.no/32n7
mediainfo: http://pastebin.no/32n8
sample 60 sec movie (~40MB), crashes at 47 sec: [removed...]

Thanks,
Rune

[Edit: Problem solved in last couple of nightly builds]
