iCouchPotato - iOS client app for CouchPotato

Hi Tripkip,

I just switched to iOS 5 and there's nothing really that I miss about my jailbroken iPhone except for iCouchpotato.

Don't get your hopes up, but maybe there's another shot to get it approved to the app store. I was thinking about how Apple said that iCouchpotato was stimulating illegal downloads. Welll, we all know it does, but we also know that all those Torrents and Usenet applications do pretty much the same. So why do they get approved. Two reasons:
1. Torrents and Usenet can also be used for non-illegal sharing.
2. The iPhone applications are not 'downloaders' or the counterpart of downloaders, but they're much more pitched as being a 'remote' application. Just a simple remote to have another app do the same thing.

I think that Apple may have gotten the idea that the iCouchpotato app is partly doing the damage. Maybe when you rewrite the description and pitch it as just another remote app, it may work? Well, we still have to figure something out for the copyrighted film posters...

Just thought I'd share my thoughts...

I also agree, you can change the description and put it something like make lists of your favorite movies with couchpotato! It doesn't harm to try it

I just bought iCouchPotato and it adds a lot of easiness in using CP on the iPhone. I have some questions, though:

- how is Recents list updated in iCouchPotato? (it seems to show the same results for days)
- how often is updated?
- where is updated from, and can we configure the watch list content according to Quality settings?
- can we configure how many items this list should have, before refreshing with new records? (is annoying to keep load more titles so very often, since the list doesn't bring new titles too often)
- how about adding RSS feeds (HiRez movies from TPB especially) to the app, so we could chose what torrent/nzb CP should pick right away?

The Recents tab sucks. Originally it was intended for blu ray releases.
Due to the fact there are no decent blu ray release feeds with proper info (imdb id included) I use themoviedb's feed.

Note that the purpose of this app is managing your CP watchlist, not discoverying new movies; for that check out imdb app and apple trailers which is what I use for that purpose...

Tripkip, could you send the app another time to the app store, change a little the description. There is another app that manages Couchpotato & Sickbeard already in the app store, check it out:
