hi guys i have just built myself a htpc just so i could use xbmc as i think it is awesome
my intention because of the distance between the server and htpc i plan to use my wireless N adapter connected over wifi to my TP-Link TL-WR1043ND Wireless N router to stream video from my home file server which is in my home office to the htpc which is about 12 metres away in my lounge room
i have the network setup and sharing folders using smb in xbmc but before i start watching movies or tv shows over the network i want to know what are the best settings to use to maximize the streaming power i am using the transparency skin and have gone into settings and network and everything is at default for now but wondering if there is anything i should tick or untick or enter to make it better like post processing, video transcoding or whatever
