You should overwrite the dll in: C:\xbmc-10.1\system\players\dvdplayer (change it to the directory you've installed xbmc in).

Only works with the official 10.1 release.

Alternatively, you could use the installer as created by 'Isidrogar', in the dxva anti-aliasing topic on the development forum. His installer features my patches as well. This is currently his latest: http://www.multiupload.com/T6XAWA14PQ

Tks for your reply
But i see that it downloaded two files
1. XBMCSetup-20110628-aad63df-dx.exe
2. One more file ( avcodec-52 ). Where can i add it ?

Or it is already included in the XBMCSetup-20110628-aad63df-dx.exe ?

EDIT: Also i see that with no DXVA enabled i have a lot of frame-drops. WHY?
Tks again

thespecialist Wrote:Which catalyst are you using ? I find 11.4 better than 11.5 and 11.6, so I'd suggest trying that. Other than that, I'm out of idea's ...

I have tested all Catalyst Versions since 10.1. I Have only one thing not testet and this is Reinstall Windows.

thespecialist Wrote:From your error log:

"ERROR: DXVA - failed executing m_service->CreateVideoDecoder"

Which means it can't even open the decoder device for this mode (indicating your hardware/driver doesnt support it correctly). I don't understand then why it works with other players, like you've said it does. If XBMC can't even open the decoder device, how is it possible that other programs can ? It makes no sense to me at all ...

And that is the 1 million dollar question Sad

@SALAMINOMACHOS:

Save that DLL to the directory I outlined below. Alternatively, you could just run that exe, it's an installer for XBMC with some DXVA added features and my VC1 and MPEG4 fixes as well.
