Hi Guys,

Hoping for some help, I have had a look around but to no avail.

I am using a Jailbroken ATV2 with xbmc and trying to wirelessly play videos from my windows 7 pc. XBMC and my windows pc can find each other, and I can even send video direct to xbmc atv2 media server.

I cannot however play selected videos direct from my Apple TV2 when using xbmc? An error dialog box shoes stating an error has occurred and to check the error log. I have checked sharing and opened everything up but still this doesnt help :-(

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction, even what and where to check this error log? . Cheers!

A little closer :-) I have scanned logs and now see the below...

"unix_err:'d' error : 'Permission denied"

Might be a silly question, but why am I getting a unix error when I am using windows?
and
What permisions are denied...as everything is shared?

Any help appreciated. Cheers.

Hey Guys, Just figured it out!

User error......! I thought everything was shared by just right clicking on the drive, and looking under the sharing tab.

DONT FORGET the SECURITY TAB !!! then under all users ensure they are allowed full control.

Once I flicked this all ok :-) Thanks JR once again for sterring me in the right direction with checking the logs.
