Possible to make backgrounds+FanArt less dark?

In all the views, the background wallpapers & fan-art are too dark. They're barely visible (Home, Movies, TV).

Is there any way to decrease that darkness?

I noticed they were kinda dark too. Would be nice to be able to brighten them up a little bit.

Please post screenshots. Noone has ever mentioned them being too dark.
