I have been trying to solve this for almost a year now...

I have a Revo R3610 (Atom 330, 2GB RAM) on Ubuntu 10.10. I have put another hard drive with windows 7 in the revo and I do not have this problem (but many others). I cannot work out why it happens in Ubuntu and not windows.

Please watch this video and let me know if you have any ideas.

Thank you!

press play instead and see if does same.

Do you have a recent XBMC or is it old, cause recent (and Im in linux) doesnt do that anymore.

If you are talking about the lag after pause, I think it is audio sync related and known. Not sure why it if not fixed or at least put back the way it was because it is not very nice....

OMG! A whole year I have suffered with this problem, many forums and discussions with little success. Then you come along!

I was using space bar to pause and play. Switching to "p" has completely fixed the problem!

X3lectric I want to send you some money. PM me your address and I will send you a crisp £10 note. (Is sterling OK?)

I've Ubuntu 10.10 and XBMC Dharma. For me space bar & 'p' to Play/Pause works great with the keyboard! But, I've a remote that basically connects to XBMC Event Server (http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=EventServer) using a s/w available at http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/8827. With this setup I see considerable lag and dropped frames after resuming the play.

If anyone bumps into this thread and have any clue on how to fix it, let me know.

In my remote.xml I used to call "Play" when Play/Pause key is pressed. I changed mapping to call "Pause" instead of "Play" and voila, frame drops on resume is solved!
