Addon to scrape and play the http://www.thestreamdb.com database.

Bugs so far: rtmpe stop after 1minute (german streams)
ToDo for v1.1: Selecting by Country/Category

chmee: rtmpe streams dropping like that is ussually a symptom of them requiring swf verify. do you have any logs when they play and drop?

know that from rtlnow-Plugin. but these look like attributes are wrong.

Excuse my ignorance but what's the difference between this and LiveStreams? I currently have my LiveStreams settings setup to use theStreanmDB xml file, would there be any advantage of me using this over LiveStreams?

thought that, but it is/was not my intention to check/change the data from the database in xbmc. So, it would be better to sign in and help on this database.

you do not build your xml-file for your own, but collect all stream data on one site.
including, all users are editing old data and so on.. advantages? yeah, i see them..

I was under the impression that is exactly what LiveStreams does when using the community list, I thought it automatically updated the StreamDB.xml file to the most current when you run the addon. Of course I could well be wrong, since the SkySports channels stopped working I haven't really been using it.

From the initial post on LiveStreams thread:
Update Version 0.0.7
In this version files will be saved locally and auto updated if any changes to community links repository.

Sorry if I'm getting the wrong idea here but I don't want you wasting your time if there's already an addon out there that does the same thing!

Thanks for the hint. The reason i coded this, is simple. I found this site yesterday and coded this addon (after a short search, if an addon already exists). So. finally.. now this addon exists, maybe (obviously) mine is not needed.

now i read the thread to LiveStreams (luckily on site 52-54): Is http://www.thestreamdb.com the webgui to the thestreamdb.xml?
If its the case, yeah my addon is senseless.

Would you be willing to take a look at tvpc.com? The links there seem to be updated quicker than the links on thestreamdb.com.

@icarus: tvpc.com - investigating most of the streamlinks dont work. data-scraping is functional. beta will be online next days.
