[LIVE] Revo 3610 Audio not working
#1
Hello,

I have recently upgraded my Revo from 9.11 to Dharma and since the upgrade my audio (via HDMI) isn't working. I have followed the Idiots Guide as well as the Acer Revo install guide and neither have resolved the issue. When I look at the log file I see ERROR:Unable to open audio mixer, but haven't found any posts that help.

I have posted a copy of my log file below. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Audio Settings:

Audio Output: HDMI
Speaker Configuration: 2.0
Boost Volumn Level On Downmix: Enable
Dolby Digital (AC3) Capable Receiver:
DTS Capable Receiver:
Audio Output Device: hdmi
Passthrough Output Device: hdmi, I have also tried custom with "plug:both" and "plughw:1,3"

I have launched Audio Mixer from the Programs Menu and unmuted everything (even the Mic). Some of the components didn't have volume levels associated with them.

This is what I have. similar hardware (mine is Arock ION 330 HT)

Code:
Audio Output: HDMI
Speaker Configuration: 2.0
Boost Volumn Level On Downmix: Enable
Audio Output Device: alsa:hdmi
Passthrough Output Device: alsa:hdmi
I would make sure that you download the audiomixer addon (under programs) and INSURE all channels are unmutted

also since you are using Luicd I have alsa 1.0.24 and lastest nvidia drivers vdpau etc. on PPAS on my signature (RECOMMNEDED upgrades)

It all works just fine.

also have /etc/asound.conf with contents

Code:
pcm.!default {
type plug
slave {
pcm "hdmi"
}
}
