In odk42 there is now a progress bar for buffering input. This is very annoying (yes, of course the stream has to buffered - what else?). Can this be reverted to the busy-dialog? Or maybe configured out in setup?

no sorry, not at this time (well, not without performance inpact during playback)
the progress bar has always been there, after I changed buffering for pvr streams in the player a while ago. I made that progress bar hidden for live tv before, but the extra check that is needed is the problem. it's checked on every frame and it's currently locking the same mutexes that are locked by the player thread. this can result in stuttering etc, so it's been reverted to the standard behaviour for now (so display the progress bar when buffering).
