Does xbmc make use of both cores on the ipad2? For some reason it seems like i have some mkv files where the hardware acceleration doesnt work, and they play choppy. However, when i play them with avplayerhd, which makes use of both cores, they play fine with software decode.

Im guessing if the h.264 file in the mkv doest match some specifications it cant use the hardware acceleration?

Can you please advise me on how I install this file on the Ipad? I'm not sure of the location of the xbmc/core folder. Any nelp much appreciated.

You're looking at the source code.
This is'nt a file you can open and edit on your iPad and run with the changes right away.
Wait for someone to post a new nightly build (or readup on how to do it yourself... )
