Getting SABnzbd, Couch Potato and Sickbeard on Unraid Server HELP PLEASE
#1
Hey again guys. I'm new to this stuff so please be gentle..

I've read:
http://www.lockstockmods.net/2010/06/03/...sickbeard/
http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.ph...ed_servers

Both seem to be the same document. I do not understand what they mean by go scripts, how to edit them and where they are. Could someone please elaborate?

Also, I will probably not be using a cache drive. I do have a spare 320GB drive but I do not have the money yet for a plus liscence. I've read I can run SAB/CP off a drive not on the array but I have found no detailed newbie instructions for this. Can someone please explain to me in simple English how to do this?

I have access to my server through a monitor and through my mac (terminal and web browser). I have installed unmenu and screen.

I used the following Install_Python_based_servers that you are looking at.

I formatted the non-array dive and partitioned as reiserfs drive. You can used a program like wordpad to edit the go script. I opened my computer, added the server as a network location and opened the thumb drive (for me that was \\tower\flash ). Then \config\go is the file I needed to edit.

Check out this post and the few that follow it.

Basically you use the Disk Management page in unMenu to create a filesystem and then mount and partition the drive. Once you've done that you can install SAB/SB/CP on it. Once you're done loading these apps you'll need to edit your go file - which is just a script that is run at startup that will automatically setup things for you - to mount your app drive after reboot.

Thanks guys. I was under the impression that I just do this:
http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.ph...NTFS_drive

So, I put my 320GB drive in. Go into disk managment, create the file system mentioned in first reply to the thread then I run SAB/SB/CP install from http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.ph...ed_servers
replacing mnt/cache with my mnt/hd1 or whatever i call it? Then the go script, i again just edit cache with the mount name of the drive?

What file system would I do it to again? Are there any links explaining this a bit?

Also can someone provide a screenshot of how I browse to where to move SB files to? Do I specify a folder via looking through network user shares or what?
