iPhone Remote Control
#1
Howdy,

First time poster, in fact - I was an XBMC virgin until tonight and having got to Midnight with quite a lot of success I hope that someone can help me with the final hurdle.

I've had a good read before posting but I'm going round in circles.

My problem is thusly;

With the Live CD my various iPhone based remote control applications work just dandy.

With my Ubuntu Install (latest as of tonight) and my XBMC install (modified to use Maverick) I simply cannot get my remote control applications to work.

I can connect to the IPTongueort of my XBMC Web server but short of displaying a toolbar with Movies/Music it does nothing. It's probably no coincidence that my remote control iPhone tool isn't working either!

Any ideas where I'd be best off starting to troubleshoot it further?

Any help very much appreciated.

Regards,

Rob

mamkre sure announce these services to other systems via Zeroconf enabled along with allow programs on other systems to control xbmc enabled. I also have allow programs on this system to control xbmc enabled but I am not sure its necessary. this is all found under the network settings---services tab
Proper Usage of a debug log
