Having used horizontal confluence for a while now, I've got a suggestion that I think will make submenus better.
My thinking for this is that when mousing, currently to get to a submenu item requires:
1. Left/right to get to main menu item;
2. Down to get to submenu;
3. Left/right to get to submenu item.
If instead the submenu was vertical (like the PS3) you would instead go:
1. Left/right to main menu item.
2. Up/down to submenu item.
This might not sound like much, but I found it worked much better on the PS3 (when I had one some years ago) than it does with the current Confluence layout.
If the submenu got too long, it would scroll.
