XBMC Web Interface

Is there a plug-in or anyway to make the XBMC Web Interface play movies instead of using it as a remote for the primary XBMC over the internet. I would like to be able to have a Web Interface just like the remote interface beable to be accessed from the web with no sharing hard drives or anything but to allow someone to type my ip address in, see the dvd covers and play movies on there computer through the Web Interface even if it tells VLC to pop up and start playing the movie.
