Windows Home Server 2011 for a client only HTPC
#1
Hello,

I've read here and there that some people seems to use WHS 2011 for their server and HTPC. I am wondering if the video acceleration is available under this platform (more precisely under XBMC)? Especially for AMD Fusion platform. I think we speak about DXVA2 here.

Thank you!

Great! As it is cheaper than W7, I'll go with WHS for my HTPC then. For only 55$, I will be able to use the Fusion platform before Linux support it correctly.

I am interested in WHS as well that or Freenas haven't used either so idk which one I want to use yet. As for home group in windows 7 I was told not to use that and to set each pc to leave home group.
