Show naming sure botches it.

Is there a setting to tell XBMC to leave shows unidentified instead of making a wild guess? Boxee does the unidentified shows thing.

My movie listings are cluttered with garbage. This is using iMDB for scraping.

not iOS specific. You might get someone to tell you here, but you'll have better exposure in the general thread when it is an issue that effects all platforms.

In videos we currently just choose the "best" hit available - i.e. we don't have a lower limit on how good a best hit is. This will be changing soon as there's a patch for adding to the library when no hit is found using just filenaming info. This obviously then allows a higher cut-off limit to be given. We also want the cut-off to be available in the db as well (so the db stores how good a match it has). This will allow a smartplaylist to return the not-so-good hits for verification, and later allows us to send info off to themoviedb/thetvdb once the hits are verified (or fixed) by the user. Then everyone benefits.
