its a 3.6GB BRRip 720p file. it plays perfectly fine on my computer through WMP, but when i play it on my XBMC it is stuttering. Is this video too good for XBMC & ATV2 to handle?

I have played tons of videos, and this is the first one to do this...

is there anything i can do to correct this?

I'm guessing this is a DivX/XviD 720p file. The aTV has no problems with h.264 since it's hardware decoded, DivX has to be done in software, which the aTV can't handle at that resolution.

What kind of sick twisted person releases HD divx videos (AND in an .avi container) out on the internet? Those poor poor movies...
