I'm using standard line out & have problems with a number DVD & BD rips. Currently to solve high dynamic range & low gain audio I'm putting a hardware signal processor/compressor between the PC & the amp. Is there any way to do the same this as the MDX-4600 in xbmc?

Within XBMC, no, but there are 3rd party OS utilities that will run a software compressor. Hit up google or something. I'm pretty sure they exist at least for Mac OS X and Windows.

It would be freaking sweet to have a software compressor built into XBMC, though.

I love that Behringer unit, by the way. Heck, I love most stuff Behringer makes. Very good bang-for-your-buck company. Plus, having hardware compressors in your HTPC set up probably makes it look more bad-ass :D
