I decided to try and share all my media from an external drive remotely anywhere on the internet through AirDisk and so far this is proving to be not worth it.
I have my 1TB drive into my Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS) and I have everything working internally within my WLAN. This is using a SMB share to my AEBS and then to the drive. If I do exactly the same thing but now use my public IP (for remote access) then I always get an "operation time out" error.
A bit of the log is here.
I've implemented bits out here but has anyone had any success with this before?
Thanks.
