That looks fine. You could try temporarily renaming the copy of d3dx9_43.dll in C:\Users\Home\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\ so something random to make sure it isn't being loaded.

I'm stuck then. If you would like to upload C:\Windows\SysWOW64\d3dx9_43.dll somewhere I can download it I'll compare it with my file here in case it's got corrupted.
Actually, one quick thought. On rereading your original post, is it the installer that's falling over or does XBMC install but then not run? Also where did you download the installer?

I ran into this thread looking for a solution to my problem. the installer wont finish installing the program and I get the error that the same .dll file is missing. I am lost.

go to http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-fi...l?d3dx9_43
select 32 bit version in manual dll tab download and copy to C:\Windows\sysWOW64 folder
This worked for me
on a windows 7 home premium 64 bit
