Linux crash when selecting add-ons from repository
#1
Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone else is having issues with add-ons in latest opdenkamp build?

If I go to add-ons, get add-ons, all and click on ANY add-on to install, xbmc will crash and quit. There is nothing left in the crash log at this point because it is killed.

Not sure if this is an issue only with opdenkamp pvr builds or not.

If this is fixable, please let me know. If not I'll wait for a new build :-)

Cheers,
Loggio.

The latest builds aren't on opdenkamp anymore? there has been 1 build since the last one on there. See this post http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=861...stcount=19

Having the same issue. Are there any pre-built packages that have the fix incorporated? Pulse eight does not as of 9:00pm MST.

No, just install manually for now.

How do I compile this version manually? I really don't want to screw this up.

I mean install the add-ons manually. Theres no need to compile a new version of xbmc... Dushmaniac will release another one shortly anyway.

And there are plenty of existing threads explaining how to compile xbmc if thats what you wish to do.

Could someone please tell me where I can download the addons to install them manually? Do I have to look them all up here in the forums?

Open the repository addon folder in a browser, find the addon.XML file within that folder and open that. There will be a web link within that XML, copy and paste that in your browser and you will be able to download the addons from your web browser.
