Ubuntu Library Sharing and HDMI Question
#1
I just decided to re-purpose a very old pc and installed ubuntu and xbmc on it to run on a small bedroom tv.

I found my XBMC share from my Acer Revo and it streams 480p content beautifully. First Q, Can I stream a library instead of the plain list I have atm?

2nd Q: My TV only has options for Scart and HDMI whereas the PC only has a VGA output. My solution was to buy a cheap Graphics card with a dvi connection and use a DVI to HDMI converter.

Was looking at something like a 128 Radeon 7500 agp (Partly to share the work load). Would I be able to send audio through the DVI interface? If not would a tv pick up images from the HDMI and sound from an audio jack?

Bought a 9500 Radeon and think I will have to use a separate audio cable as only the hd cards make use of extra pins to send sound.

But back to my first Question. I have a share set up but can I use the library mode to have artwork/info/thumbs displayed wirelessly or am I limited to a list of names in alphabetical order.
