updating XBMC kive nvidia driver need help.

My HTPC has a new Nvidia GT520 video card in it

I install XBMC Live 10.1 and everything installs fine. But upon rebooting after sucessfully installing XBMC Live onto my HTPC, All I am greeted with is a flashing cursor in the top left corner of the screen. And hangs there forever.

From what I can gather, I need to update the video card drivers to the latest Nvidia as the bundled version does not support my card since XBMC live release is very old.

How do I do this? I have the instructions on how to do it from command prompt, but I am unable to gain acess to any command prompt on the HTPC I have installed XBMC live on.

How do I actually get to the command prompt. Do I have to use the installation disc to update the video card driver. Then reinstall XBMC live.

Or can I just download the drivers from NVIDIA site and manually patch them into the XBMC live installation ISO?

and youll need more than that

however that how to is inaccurate on the alsa part and youll need to find out what your card id is. thers other posts on the forums for that card, find them, read them!
