Hi to all,
My sony tv does not seem to support ac3 format. How can I get around it?
I am having xbmc installed on my zotac zbox id-41 loaded with latest natty ubuntu.
All is working well except it does stream ac3 format audio. There was just silent.

normally the tv´s are supporting ac3 and do not support dts! this is the problem with my tv!
you will have to connect directly to your surround receiver!
or do you want to get normal sound on tv, even when it is ac3?

Downmix everything to stereo. Make sure "Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver" and "DTS capable receiver" are not checked, and set up XBMC for a 2.0 Speaker Configuration.
