XBMC audio not playing properly Audio Steam - Undetermined 5.1
#1
Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue playing an mp4 video. The video itself is fine but the audio is playing funny buggers with my amp with the audio dropping out and the amp flashing.

All other videos so far are working fine. I have a Zotac ND22 with a TOSLINK cable running from the SPDIF port from the box directly to my amp which is AAC and DTS capable. I've tried disabling AAC and DTS from XBMC which hasn't fixed the problem.

Within XBMC, if I go to audio information, "Audio Steam" is showing "Undetermined 5.1".

Audio information:

Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
Compression mode : Lossy
Stream size : 356 MiB (19%)

Any help greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

John

Solved!

Very, very wierd... Converted the mp4 container to mkv using Direct MKV converter (no recompression required) and it works fine.

Very, very odd.
