Hi,

sorry for my bad english, but it is not the language i speak most.

I have a problem with my TVPC, when I play 720p mkv files.

the screen is a lot pixelated and the colors are wrong. I've taken some screen dumps so you can see it for youself:

and the debug log for the mkv problem are here:

http://pastebin.com/ikBkytzy

the PC is a laptop and has the following specs:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 @ 2.50 GHz
RAM: 4 GB DDR2
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise x64
GFX: ATi Mobility Radeon HD 2600
XBMC: XBMC 10.1 Dharma
DXVA2: enabled

I have the newest version of Catalyst pro control center.

does anyone have a idea of why I can't play these files without problems?

I also have problems with all the videos I play are stuttering when the camera for example moves from one side to another. could this have anything to do with the other problem I have?

the debug for that one are here:

thanks

CPU usage is quite high.. Almost seems like GPU is not decoding this, cpu is...

Try disabling hardware acceleration from System settings, Video, Playback.

I've tried that too, but it do not help, it's still the same problem.

1. if there is an option in catalyst control center, do this- set it to enforce smooth video playback.
2.do these in xbmc: system>settings>video>playback>adjust display refresh rate to match video and sync playback to display)
3. system>settings>system>video output (select full screen for display mode and select same resolution as adjusted in catalyst control center).

I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

Hi Nick, did you have any luck. I am having similar issues. It is funny because I noticed it watching Thor last night.

Here is what mine looks like:

The pic on the left is from VLC and the one on the right is MPC...... The pic on the left in VLC is what videos and the menu system look like in XBMC.

I having issues with "Blocky" playback or artifacting / pixelation of a video.

I'm running a 785G chipset AMD board with intergrated HD4200 graphics, with a Athlon II X2 Unlocked to 4 cores running 3.4Ghz

I play BR movies with PowerDVD no problems, I can play every file fine using media player or vlc with no issues.

I switched for apple TV2 because of it's HD limitations, but this is not working out.
Playback on my old first gen xbox never produced artifacts like this every 5 seconds.

Could my codec pack have anything to do with this? I use the Shark007 pack, it allows me to play all file types in windows media player with no issues even full bluray rips.
